SolarSoft diffuses light transmitted through the sheet, while still transmitting a high level of PAR light (80%). The mechanical properties of ThermaGlas SolarSoft can be considered to be the same as other types of ThermaGlas, such as Clear or White/Opal.

Diffusing the sun’s direct radiation is beneficial for plants. With ThermaGlas SolarSoft, plants or flowers get very high levels of PAR light, but direct radiation of infrared is diffused, which helps to reduce leaf temperature and plant burning. Furthermore, light penetrates deeper into the canopy, improving plant growth. SolarSoft can also be beneficial for humans. A person standing under ThermaGlas SolarSoft, while receiving almost the same amount of light as with Clear, will not feel harsh heat-giving radiation from the sun, and therefore will feel much more comfortable.

The SolarSoft resin component is UV protected with the same co- extrusion protection as all other ThermaGlas products (99.9% UV protection).

ThermaGlas SolarSoft 80 features all the advanced technology of ThermaGlas Plus, such as 100% UV protection and guaranteed condensate control, but with SolarSoft pigmentation, you reap the benefits of up to 95% light diffusion. This allows for diffusion of shadows cast by overhead cross members, and also allows for the more diffuse light to penetrate deeper into the plant canopy.

Shipping

Orders that are placed before 2pm CST will be shipped on the same day. Orders that come in after 2pm CST will ship the next day.

We utilize UPS and FedEx to deliver our orders. Products that weigh over 150lbs will be shipped with a freight carrier. Please call for any special accommodations. Rates are calculated based on the weight and size of ordered products and delivery location.

Returns

We accept returns within 7 days of receipt of your purchase. Any returned items must be in its original, unused condition.

All returned items are subject to a 15% - 25% restocking fee.
